OVID Subscriber Favorites – 2023 Edition

So long 2023! Before we leap into what will hopefully be a brighter year, here is a quick look back on what performed best, based on total number of minutes streamed, read on for some of the 2023 champions.

In 2023, OVID subscribers pressed play on Martin Provost’s clever feminist satire How to be a Good Wife starring the iconic Juliette Binoche, and the erotic thriller Marco Bellocchio’s Devil in the Flesh.

Top documentaries included Jerry Aronson’s highly praised The Life and Times of Allen Ginsberg, and the highly unsettling assessment of our brain’s devolving evolution in Manfred Becker’s The Divided Brain.

2023 was a year of upward growth in membership and December yielded the highest number of viewing minutes ever, which leads us to believe we’re getting a few things right!

OVID ended the year at a new all-time high of 2,691 paying members. Net paid subscribers increased 3% in the fall and 14% overall for the year.

This year we’ll be rolling out different ways for you to engage with our ever-expanding collection, and we’re conjuring up some mystery merch to sweeten the deal…

We thank you, with both the left and right sides of our brain, for your support.

Stay tuned for what is coming to OVID in 2024!
